Hilton Head Island is a great dog-friendly vacation spot, and most beaches allow dogs, including Folly Beach, Port Royal Beach, and Coligny Beach Park. Here are seasonal guidelines to be aware of:

October to March: Dogs are allowed on HHI beaches at any time.

April through the Thursday before Memorial Day: Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash or under voice control.

Friday before Memorial Day through Labor Day: Dogs are NOT allowed from 10 am to 5 pm but are permitted after 5 pm and must be on a leash or under voice control.

Tuesday after Labor Day to September 30: Dogs are allowed but must be on a leash or under voice control.
