One one side of the living room, you'll find one of the home's master suites, the queen guest bedroom, the twin trundle guest bedroom and a hallway bathroom with shower/tub combo. You can access the home's screened porch and backyard area from the living room and one of the home's master suites. On one side of the kitchen, you will find the home's second master suite and the bunk bedroom suite. There is a full sized washing machine & dryer in a closet in the kitchen.

Whale of a Time is located within a residential community in the Wild Dunes Resort. Please be mindful of this residential character of the home throughout your stay.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was clean, comfortable and easily accommodated our large group of 10 people. The beach was only a couple of blocks away and was beautiful. We didn’t want to leave!

Overall, this home was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. There were plentiful bedrooms and bathrooms, which suited the seven of us very well. There was a place inside for us to gather, a place outside on the deck for us together, and a place in a screened in porch for us together. Quite nice. My only hesitation from giving five stars was that with this lovely home and lovely amenities, the management seems to be rather stingy on superficial things. For instance, there wasn’t enough toilet paper for our stay. We only needed one or two more rolls, but had to deal with the harassment of going for more. Plus, it would be nice if there were a couple things in the cupboard, like I’ve seen at other VRBO homes. Absolutely nothing. No oil for the frying pan, no coffee for just the first night. For ourselves, we left our leftover jar of natural peanut butter in the cupboard. Will it be there for the next renters or will it be thrown out? By just spending a few more dollars, it would’ve been a little more convenient for us. But other than that, it was lovely. Very near the beach, and very pretty.

Whale of a Time" provided a wonderful home base for our family vacation to Isle of Palms. My wife and I visited from New York with our two kids (ages 6 and 9) as part of an extended family gathering(10 total ranging from grandparents to kindergartners). We stayed for one week in mid-August and had never stayed in Isle of Palms before. The house was a very relaxing and functional place to relax after a full day of activities. We spent nights enjoying the open layout of the kitchen and family room and made good use of the grill and screened in porch. It was a short walk to the beach off 51st Ave, or a quick golf cart ride to the 21st Ave access point by the boardwalk. The shallow and warm water allowed the whole family to enjoy hours in the ocean. The location within the gated Wild Dunes community also offered a private and convenient place for morning walks. We made great family memories during our stay here and would highly recommend this property!
